First we measure what you can do now
Bring to mind one task you currently do. Three tests tell you whether it suits automation. Fail any one and it is not yet that task.

Prompt templates you can use straight away
We don't name tools. Tools change often, and what follows How you say itholds just the same in any tool.
Like this "You are (role). Keeping to (three conditions), produce (the output)."
Without conditions you get a different answer every time. Three conditions steady the output.
Like this "Good example: … / Bad example: … Revise what follows by this standard."
Two examples beat ten lines of explanation. Giving a bad example alongside is the key.
Like this "If you are not sure, do not invent — answer 'unknown'."
Without this one line, plausible falsehoods creep in — and checking costs far more.
Like this "Before producing the result, first list five items for checking whether the result is right."
Without a way to check the output in thirty seconds, a person ends up reviewing all of it again.
Like this "If any of the conditions below apply, do not process it — mark it 'needs human review'."
Without a place to hand it to a person when it fails, one slip sends everything back to being done by hand.

A first automation schedule
We don't build it all at once. You pass through three tiers in order. In each, Whether the time actually went down Check it, then move on.

Just keep this rule
- Attach one at a time. Start two at once and you won't know which saved the time.
- Time it. Note how many minutes the task took before you attached it, and measure again after. By feel, it always seems to have gone down.
- We never remove the human check from the start. Taking it out once you're used to it is not too late.
- Don't memorise the tools. Think how many times the names have changed these past few years. Keep only the way of asking and you can swap the rest.
- Check before you feed in someone else's material. Before putting customer details or contract content into an outside tool, you must first know where that material travels.
If you finished one
Next is 〈Builder Class〉. Rather than stopping at using what others made, you build a tool that fits your own work — designing the flow that gathers and sorts material, and attaching the checking rules.
